The Wynn Las Vegas

The Wynn is as good as good as it gets.  The idea that anyone would rate it lower than five stars is absurd.  This hotel is the very best of Las Vegas.  It's elegant, beautiful, fun, and entertaining.  One of the most interesting elements is the fact that cigarette smoke flows in the casino area.

Room was brilliant. Can't complain but demotivated to rave about how awesome the room is.

That said, a room is pretty much useless if it's noisy. If you get a room facing the golf course, you are also facing the clubs which blast music so loud that you can hear them on the 52nd floor. Hard to sleep at ~2 when it is that loud.

When we requested a quiet room, you would have thought they would put us on the other side of the building. Front desk seemed to be unaware about this noise occurrence and sadly so were we.

Still better than Baghdad though, right?

The casino was fantastic. Everything was super clean and elegant. We did want to stop at the parasol lounge for a few cocktails before we saw la rave. Our waitress was awful!! She gave us napkins and then we didn't see her again until after our husbands went to the bar (after waiting nearly twenty minutes) the girl had a literal meltdown. Was pointing us out to the other wait staff, complained we didn't have on proper attire. Which we did. And then never came back to as us if we wanted another drink.
We visit Vegas several times a year. We will probably visit the casino again but we will never go back to that lounge again

Michelle, you would have to live with Donald Trump himself to have better surroundings.

I visited for work, and had never been to Las Vegas before so didn't know what to expect. I'd also never stayed in a five-star hotel. I was completely blown away by the absolute luxury that permeates through every wall of the hotel. The level of service and attention to detail in every aspect of both the rooms and the convention space was nothing short of amazing.

Everything at the Wynn went off without a hitch and I kept finding myself pleasantly surprised by the service and amenities at every turn. Whether you're visiting for vacation or for work, the Wynn is your best bet.

First and foremost - there are notell motels on E. Colfax I would of felt better paying for. I paid almost $80, $3 of that was for wi-fi that did not work. The room was dirty. I refused to take off my shoes there. The tub scared me. I refused to use the ice bucket because of strange green goo. We stayed in there "modern" two queen room on the first floor. There were dead bugs in the corner. We figured, stay there - its in the Tech Center, save a couple bucks over the $100 room next door. Wish I paid the $100 bucks. There were prostitutes going in and out all night. My 14 year old even asked why there were hookers in the motel. There were drug deals. Cops were casing it all night. Actually ended up in the lobby to interview people several times. My husband was approached and propositioned by a hooker when he went outside to smoke. You know - I am sure prostitution and escorts happen at other places but my word - at least they keep it discreet. It seriously was like driving down Colfax and having a skantily claded girl walk up to your car saying, "heeeey baby." while leaning into your window here at this DTC Motel 6. Did I say DTC? Yes, freaking DTC.When I kept saying my Wi-fi access code I paid for wasn't working, all i got was - oh we will reset the router. NOT ONCE did I get access. I had to go sit at a McDonalds for free wi-fi so I could find another DECENT place for the same amount of money the following night. Which I did a couple blocks down. Like I said, I could of paid $40 on E. Colfax and had the same experience. But atleast then I would of only spend $40 rather than $80. If you want overpriced no-tell motel with hookers and blow, well this is the place. A cardboard box is nicer. This was the most disgusting experience and felt i needed a hazmat suit to be inside the rooms. Freaking disgusting.

Sounds like this place was the pitts!

Upcoming Stay at Cape Rey Carlsbad, a Hilton Resort

We have an upcoming stay at Cape Rey Carlsbad, a Hilton Resort.  TripAdvisor ranks this hotel number 6 of 36 hotels in Carlsbad.  I chose this location because it seemed to be away from the fucking hustle and bustle of San Diego, and Los Angeles.  It seems to be tucked perfectly in between, but I'll let you know.

Below are some helpful reviews courtesy of our friends at TripAdvisor.

My stay at Cape Rey was very good - but NOT my experience with the spa. I booked a 4:00 massage for myself and friend - when we arrived at 3:50, we were told our massage was booked for 3:30. I know without a doubt that I booked it for 4:00. We were rushed through a 25 minute massage and expected to pay full price! When I complained, they decided to only charge us $75.00 instead of $130.00 each. I cannot begin to express the level of disappointment I have with Ocean Crest Spa.

I was expecting a happy ending. You'd think $150 would be enough.  Not at Ocean Crest Spa.

Hotel is good. Some of the personnel need to be more attentive and care for the service they are supposed to give to guests. Printing a map of routes in two pages, giving it to the guest only to find out at the end of the first page that the second page is a copy of the first. Guest is left in the middle of freeway not knowing where to get out and how to find the correct address. similar issues are evident with some of the waiters / waitresses inTh hotel.

Have you ever heard of Grand Mcnally?
