This place is really nice, it's located in a midrise building. Tall palm trees decorate the entrance. They offer a bed and breakfast; I don't need that, I like to schlepp down to the lobby, and stare at the people. The restaurant and bar have a real swanky, postmodern look.

W San Francisco

Live DJ spinning on Friday nights. Bartenders were knowledgeable. Very cool vibe/space. Good crowd of people. Enjoyed it very much.
Was he spinning you idiot? What was he doing,
pirouettes?

It used to be cool staying at any of the "W" hotel but after awhile the chain really need to keep it up. The location is OK, I can go to many places by foot. The room is a good size for SF standard and room service is fine. I am not sure any hotel in this category should charge WiFi service. How to turn good to great is the key to attract frequent travellers.

The W is always a great place for meetings during conferences at Moscone. They have very nice meeting rooms and excellent staff
The Fairmont San Francisco
People seemed to have very few negative things to say about this hotel. It's located inland, and very close to the Bay Bridge, which is a very cool area of San Francisco; but what areas aren't cool in San Francisco? There's a Motel 6 a few blocks away that goes for $166 a night. Can you believe that? You'll see a lot of rich computer people in this area. It's not exactly the summer of love type.

The Fairmont is an iconic hotel with incredible history in San Francisco. The service was as you'd expect-excellent and professional. The facility and grounds are well maintained. The rooms were nice with comfortable beds and good amenities. Room was very clean, although I missed turn down service. Complementary coffee and tea are included in the room. The old photos are not be missed.

Great classic San Francisco hotel at the top of Mason Street in Nob Hill. On a recent 3-day trip, we found Uber a convenient way to get around when pressed for time. But nothing beats taking an iconic cable car ride while in San Francisco. My room on the 6th floor was very comfortable and had a nice City view. Although I generally prefer a higher floor, I was able to get a great sunrise photo from my room. Be sure to get up early at least one morning to catch the sunrise.

Great location and close proximity to incredible restaurants and the city but the price did not represent good value for money, as the hotel has the nerve to charge extra for the gym AND wifi. I would have figured that charging $399/night the hotel maybe could set up a router and throw me some free internet or maybe even let me work out.

My husband and I came to the Fairmont for our 10th anniversary , but is over rated, over priced for what is offered not four star's it's panache and pizzazz have faded with the decades and the entire hotel needs a subtle but complete refit to be restored to it's former glory. And as for the Tonga Room it is an evil joke food came out cold, an insult to asian cuisine, the band was unspeakably untalented the Fairmont needs to be kicked into the 21st century kicking and screaming.
